Digital Video Recorder (DVR): One or more of the 4 cameras are placed in an area with the most claims of activity, also known as hot spots, in hopes of capturing paranormal activity on video recording.

Camcorder with Night Shot : This devise is used for recording video in the dark while moving from one area to another.
Digital & Static Cameras
Digital & Static Cameras: Digital and static cameras are used for capturing still images of paranormal activity that we can't see with the naked eye.
The static camera has to be stationary, usually on a tripod. This modified digital camera captures paranormal activity more often than any normal digital camera. It is also customized to pick up the static electricity in the air sending it to the lens for higher results in capturing activity.

Electromagnetic Field Detector: This devise is used to detect EMF leaks and the EMF that a spirit projects, allowing us to determine its location when present.
Certain items inside and outside the home or property, such as old electrical wiring, transmitters, power lines, & power plants, put out high electromagnetic fields. This can cause hallucinations, headaches, nausea, dizziness, etc.

KII
KII (K-2): A KII detects electromagnetic fields (EMF). This device lights up to five different colors when EMF is present. The PTI team often uses this device during an EVP session. In more cases than one, we have had the spirits communicate with us through this device, making the meter light up in response to the questions asked.

Digital Voice Recorders A digital recorder is used for recording a series of questions asked to any spirit present in hopes of recording electronic voice phenomena (EVP) that are undetectable to the naked ear allowing us to hear the spirit's voice & response on playback.

Ghost Box: This pre-modified AM/FM portable handheld radio allows you to scan through the AM fequencies while asking a series of questions. Being that a disembodied voice travels in the same frequencies as AM stations, cell phone's & cordelss phone's, it allows you to hear the disembodied voices of the spirit's response in real time.
EVP Listening Device
EVP Listening Device: This device is used during EVP, ghost box, or silent sessions.

2-way Radios: Used for communication between PTI team members for group safety & activity information.
Area Thermometer
Digital Thermometer: This device is used to read the temperature in the surrounding area. Its general use is watching for any sudden changes in temperature. When a spirit is gathering energy it will draw energy from the nearest source & in common cases the spirit will draw the energy from the air usually causing the temperature to suddenly decrease or, in some cases, increase.
Some believe when the temperature rises it is caused from an evil or demonic spirit manifesting.

Infrared Thermometer: Also known as the IR thermometer, this temperature reading device is used to point & aim the infrared laser at any object, room, or individual.
PTI's main use for this device is detecting any fluctuation in temperature. If we feel we just spotted an apparition or heard an unexplained noise in a certain area, we will aim the IR in the general direction to see if the temperature changes.
We also use the IR thermometer for the initial readings before we begin an investigation.
We get basic temperature readings of any family member & group member present along with EMF & area temperature readings throughout the site. This helps us later determine any temperature & EMF changes that may occur.

Motion Detector
The Motion Detector: The motion detector is placed in a nearby area such as in an attic, basement, etc. It is activated when something crosses in front of it breaking the laser to the sensor sending a signal to the monitoring device that is placed in an area where it can be heard by the investigation group.
IR Flashlights
IR Flashlight: The infrared flashlight is a standard requirement for all PTI members.
It not only helps to keep from blinding a team member, it also helps keep our pupils dilated, & use to the dark. It also helps keep it dark in the area of investigation and can help to see paranormal activity.

Tripods are used for DVR cameras & camcorder stabilization. Also for digital camera stability if needed.
